Brian D. Jones, age 50, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday after a short illness.
He was employed by the Syracuse City School District for many years and for American Home Services.
He was an avid Yankee Fan. Brian treasured a baseball tossed to him by Mariano Rivera from the outfield in Yankee Stadium.
Brian also enjoyed cooking, fishing and playing Powerball.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jeffery Jones of the Onondaga Nation and his sister Tracy Briggs of Syracuse.
Brian is survived by his mother, Linda K. (Thomas) Wood of Baldwinsville, brother, Timothy (Kim) Jones, nephew, Joshua J. Forcione.
Burial will take place at Greenspring Natural Cemetery Preserve.
