Brett A. Chaffee

Brett Alexander Chaffee, 17, of Clay, passed away on April 17, 2022.

Brett was born in Syracuse, New York on March 18, 2005 to Christopher and Deanna Chaffee.

Brett was a kind young man with an infectious smile and gentle heart. His love for music was far more than just turning on the radio. He was a self taught amazing guitar player and even enjoyed harassing the neighbors while playing his drums. Brett started to learn a few songs on his piano recently as well, but overall his guitars are what brought him peace. As uncomfortable as he felt with playing in front of people, he always enjoyed playing for his #1 fan, his mama. Brett's love for his dogs was always another comfort for him. Gaming was also a fun activity for Brett, a tight bond he and his dad always shared. Brett truly loved all of his family very much, but ultimately his boyfriend, Mark Stanton made him the happiest until the very end.

He was preceded in death by Maternal Great Grandparents, Stanley and Stephanie Bartoszewski.

He is lovingly remembered by his fun loving and proud Father, Christopher Chaffee; Most loving and devoted Mother, Deanna (Michael Lynch) Chaffee; the love of his life, Mark Stanton; Maternal Grandfather, Walter (Barb) Bartoszewski; Maternal Grandmother, Sandra (Lennie) Morse; Great Grandmother, Bonnie Golden; Three Aunts, Jessica (Sean) Bartoszewski-Detor, Martha Zemsta, Barbara (Dennis) Mathers; Three Uncles, Brandon Morse, Corey Morse, Cory (Christie) Chaffee; Great Uncle, Stanley Czuba; Four Cousins, Carson Detor, Rhea Phinney, Royal Chaffee, Leo Destaffan.

A private service will be held for close friends and family.

Brett will always be remembered for his quiet and shy but funny, silly, goofball ways that always kept us laughing. Rest in peace my baby boy, keep playing your beautiful music and being my sunshine.
