Brenda E. Riedl

Brenda Estelle Riedl, 65, passed away surrounded by family at her home in Baldwinsville, NY on July 30, 2021. Brenda was the daughter of Bernard E. Burt and Barbara E. Walters, born on October 23, 1955 in Flint, Michigan. She grew up with her three brothers and three sisters in Liverpool, NY.


After graduating from Liverpool High School she attended Syracuse College of Environmental Science and Forestry. She was a longtime employee of Pomco Insurance and recently retired from ACR Health.


Brenda loved playing Bunco with longtime friends and was an avid concertgoer and music lover. She also enjoyed fast cars, gardening, pets, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.


Brenda was predeceased by her parents and brother, Brian Burt of Naples, FL. She is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, Al Riedl; her two sons, John Crosier and Joe Crosier both of Rochester; her step-son, Jeremy Riedl (Megan) of Potsdam; and her six grand-children, T.J., Addy, Markian, and Alex Crosier, Magnolia and Marigold Riedl. She is also survived by five siblings, Bennaire Currier (Gary) of Liverpool, Bonnie Wood (Victor) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Bruce Burt (Cheryl) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Bethany Burt-Cirillo (Jeff) of Clay, and Bernard Burt (Michele) of Liverpool, and her sister-in-law Kathy Burt of Naples, FL. She also leaves numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Family will receive friends at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212 on Thursday, August 5th from 4-7pm. Funeral Services will follow at 7pm.
