Bonnie Lou Zinszer, 79, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024, surrounded by family and cherished memorabilia.
Bonnie was adopted by her parents, affectionately referred to as Oma and Opa. She grew up on the north side of Syracuse, often helping out in her parents' business, Lyncourt Liquor Store. She had a lifelong love for watching her Yankees, singing and acting in theater groups around Syracuse, and playing multiple instruments including the organ, accordion, and guitar.
Known to her grandchildren as "Nana," she was a devoted and caring grandmother to her grandkids, Joshua (Lauren), Jacob (Eliza), Jennifer, and Julia. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, and her son, Steven, both of whom she lovingly cared for. She is survived by her youngest son, Glen, along with her grandchildren.
Bonnie was a lover of animals, especially dogs, and her affection extended to everyone she met. A spunky, stylish woman, she could (and would) strike up a conversation with anyone. Bonnie will be deeply missed, but she will live on in our hearts and through our many inside jokes.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 12-2 pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, in North Syracuse, NY.
