Bonnie J. Claflin

Bonnie J. Claflin, 74, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30th. She was born in Gouverneur, NY to the late Helen and Stanley Smith. She worked as a seamstress for several years for Learbury Clothes and then went onto to work at MS Kennedy.

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter G. Claflin.

Bonnie is survived by her three daughters, Mary (Ted) LaFave, Shelley Ringler and Christine Claflin; grandchildren, Thomas and Steven LaFave and Matthew and Emily Ringler; brother, Gary Smith; step-sister, Carol Andre and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 6th 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 7th 11am at the funeral home with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY.
