Blanche Mae Bennett, 84, of North Syracuse, New York, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 surrounded by her family. Blanche was born on January 27, 1928 in Oneida, New York to Edith Fuller and Newton Burlingame. She was married to the late George Oscar Bennett who passed July 1963. She went on to spend 32 years with her loving companion, the late Peter "Gun" Gugliotto, who passed March 1995.
Blanche is survived by her twelve children: Suzanne Tassone, Georgia (Donald) Haselmayer, Sharon Caracci, Salena Bennett, Patricia (Richard) Palumbo, Mitchell Bennett, Carlene Maloney, Katherine (Robert) Orton, Jeffrey Bennett, George Bennett, Debra Bennett, Lisa Gugliotto. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson.
She spent her time reading scriptures from the bible, singing, dancing, playing the piano and enjoyed listening to Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynett. Her greatest passion in life was her family, which is expressed by her display of family photos throughout her home. Her greatest challenge of raising twelve children as a single mom for many years, turned out to be one of her biggest blessings. She was a woman of great strength and had a lot of love to share with family and those around her.
Services will be Monday, February 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse, New York. Spring burial will be in Oneida Lake Cemetery, Lennox, New York. Calling hours will be Monday February 6, 2012 from 12:00 -2:00 PM at the funeral home, 705 North Main Street.
