Beverly A. (Cone) Flaherty, 81, of Mattydale, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, Jan. 19th. Beverly was born on March 23, 1933 in Mannsville, NY. She worked at Crouse Hospital for 17 years on the Labor and Delivery Unit. Bev was a diehard SU sports fan and loved her feline friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Beverly was predeceased by her son, Robert James Flaherty and granddaughter, Renee Deep.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Michael Flaherty, 4 daughters, Luanne Reynolds, Joanne (William) Deep, Mary (Jerry) Rogers and Colleen (Kenneth) Kugler; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Thursday 2-6PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. The family will have a private burial in the spring at Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 or at www.pdf.org.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke Health Services for the compassionate care they provided to Beverly.
Burial will take place on Saturday, May 9th at 10AM in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish, NY. The family would like to invite family and friends to gather at Amanda's house following the burial. The family would also like to invite family and friends to attend a Mass that will be said in honor of Beverly on Saturday, May 9th at 4PM at St. Cecelia's Church, 1009 Woods Road, Syracuse, NY 13209.
