Betty Jordan Tait, 77, of E. Syracuse died peacefully Thursday at the home of her daughter, Janice surrounded by her loving family. An avid nature lover, "Nonna Betty" enjoyed birdwatching and gardening. She was a US Air Force veteran. She was predeceased by her husband, Verner Tait in 2004 and a grandson, Aaron.
Surviving are daughters, Janice (Giovanni) Vitale of Liverpool and Sharon Quigley of N. Syracuse; sons, Michael (Sue) of PA, David of E. Syracuse and Kevin Tait of Cal.; sister, Debbie Pope of Norwich; grandchildren, Heather, Domenico and Daniela Vitale; James, Samantha and Kelsey Quigley; Nicholas and Christopher Tait; Alicia and Addam and a great-grandson, Dylan.
Calling hours will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse with services to follow at 7:00 PM.
Betty's family would like to express our deepest thanks and gratitude for all the Doctors, Nurses, Aides and Hospice staff that assisted her through her two year battle with cancer.
