Betty J. May, 81 of Brewerton died Friday at Rosewood Heights Nursing Home. Born in Earlville, she was a longtime resident of the Syracuse area. She retired from the City of Syracuse following several years to service in the maintenance department at Hancock International Airport. She was predeceased by a sister, Roberta Chrisfield in April, 2010.
Surviving are a son, Gerald B. Perkins of Syracuse; three daughters, Linda Perkins of Liverpool, Deborah Bittel of Solvay and Sandra (Edward) Cook of Central Square; a brother, Walter T. Loomis, Jr. of Florida; a sister, Dorothy (Elliott) Thomas of Syracuse; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private. There will be no calling hours.
