Betty Colella, 86, of Liverpool, went to be with the Lord on Saturday with family at her side. Born in Canastota, NY, the daughter of the late Dominick and Louise Veschusio. Betty was a hairdresser for the Addis Co. for over 25 years and retired from Regis Salons. She was an active member of the Church of the Resurrection where she taught Sunday school for many years and served on a short term mission trip to Belize. She was also a volunteer at New Hope Family Services for several years.

Betty loved her family, especially her grandchildren, Dane and Torey. She selflessly and lovingly cared for her sister, Nat for almost 14 years until her death in 2005. She is predeceased by her six brothers and four sisters.

Betty is survived by her son, Dale A. (Pattie) Colella; grandchildren, Dane and Torey Colella; a sister, Anna (Warren) Donnelly; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will be Thursday 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
