Beryl G. Stone, Jr.
January 13, 1958 — March 12, 2021
Beryl G. Stone, Jr., 63 of Central Square, NY passed away at home Friday, March 12, 2021 after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving wife, children, brothers, sisters and cousins, Matt Stone and Jim Walts.
Beryl was born in Syracuse, NY on January 13, 1958 to the late, Beryl Sr. and Shirley (Walts) Stone. Beryl was predeceased by his daughter, Cheryl Ann Stone and brother, David C. Stone.
Beryl is survived by his spouse of 15 years, Kimberly; his children, Eric Stone, Joseph (Kasey) Stone, Katie Stone, Kyle (Kristen) Burdick, and Richard Burdick III; grandchildren, Madison Stone, Bentley Haskins, Blake Stone, Colton Richardson and Peyton Burdick; siblings, Gerald (Mary) Stone, Cheryl (Brian) Parker, Bruce (Myrna) Stone, and Donna (Michael) Weaver; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Beryl proudly served in the US Marine Corp from 1976 to 1980. He retired from McLane NE after 25 years of service. Beryl enjoyed traveling and vacationing with his wife. He had a passion for hunting, working in his wood shop, gardening, gathering with friends and family at camp, spending time with his grandchildren and his dog Remington. Beryl had a special love for his guitar and country music.
Donations may be made in Beryl's name to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Street, East Syracuse NY 13057.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 3pm to 7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, N. Syracuse, NY. A funeral service celebrating Beryl's life will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 10 am at the funeral home for immediate family. All other family and friends wishing to attend the service are asked to join together at the Hastings Fire Department, 1994 US Rte 11, Hasting, NY where the service will be lived streamed. A gathering will follow after the service has concluded.
A military burial will take place in the Pleasant Lawn Cemetery in Parish, NY in the spring at a date to be announced, where he will be laid to rest with his daughter, Cheryl Ann.
