Bertha T. Vergara, 73, of Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday at her daughters home surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 12, 1942 in Rionegro, Colombia. Despite being very humble, she always strived to look and be her best. Her beauty was ageless and her smile and kindness filled everyone she came in contact with. She cared for all those she knew and was especially dedicated to her family. She shared a beautiful 49 years of marriage and rejoiced the gift of her 3 children. She'll be remembered most for her passion for music and of course Colombian Soccer.
Surviving are her beloved husband Rennan of 49 years, her son, Renan (Ana) of Miami, FL, 2 daughters; Nina (Ata) Pinto, Sandra (Junior) Thorpe, 6 grandchildren; Mateo, Breana, Sofia, Yashi, Neney & Lucas Jose, 2 brothers; Dario Vargas, Oscar Vargas and her sister, Luz Helena Vargas, the Vergara family, along with many other extended family members.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday 12noon at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church or to Hospice of CNY.
