Bertha M. Cutaffa DeSellems, 74, of N. Syracuse, passed away Saturday at the Francis House surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born April 21, 1937 in Ogdensburg daughter of the late Samuel Cutaffa and Frances Wicks Teller. She graduated from high school in Ogdensburg, NY. She was a sales manager for Hit or Miss Clothing Store and for Stylish Women of Syracuse. Bertha enjoyed her trips to the casino and playing poker with family.
Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Thornhill (Les Baker), two grandsons, Josh Amo and Wes McDonald, one great grand daughter, Hailey Reed, half sisters; Linda Ameigh (Ken), Joan Walter (Robert), a special friend Mary, along with several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews, three step-son's Randy, Chris and Jeff DeSellems. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold, two sisters, Helen and Mary, step father, Irving Teller, half brother John (Barb) Teller and half sister, Patricia Teller Stethers.
Services will be held on Wednesday 11 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, N. Syracuse. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Contributions may be made to the Francis House.
