Bernard David Perkins, 74, of Brewerton, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Loretto after a long illness.
Born August 12, 1943 to Charles and Carol Perkins in Syracuse, he attended St. Lucy's Academy and was a 1961 graduate of Vocational High School.
He married June Berger at St. Lucy's Church on August 3, 1968. Bernard worked for Western Union, General Motors and Quest Diagnostics before retiring in 2008. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Syracuse Orange.
He was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, June, in 2013; as well as, his parents, Charles and Carol and brothers, James and Joseph.
Bernard is survived by his sons, David (Tina) of Cicero and Gregory (Terri Lee) of Erie, PA; his four grandchildren, Julia, Charles, David and Tyler and his brother, Christopher of Syracuse.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 29th 5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse.
Friends may call on the family from 2pm until 5pm on Friday. A private burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Dewitt.
