Bernard F. Moon

Bernard F. Moon, 83, of East Syracuse, passed away surrounded by his family on February 3, 2022. He was born to the late Floyd and Margaret Moon on April 29, 1938.

Bernard served in the Marine Corps. for four years, from 1957 to 1961. He worked for Carrier for 15 years and retired in 2004. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, doing paint by number, working around his lawn, gardening, telling silly stories, and spending time with his loving family.

Bernard was predeceased by his daughter, Deborah Donnelly; his sister, Mary Cain; his brother, Edward Moon; and his daughter-in-law, Wendy (Stevens) Moon.

He is survived by his wife, of 59 years, Rosella (Flask) Moon; his children, Catherine (Vayeli) Rivera, Bernard M. Moon, Andrew Moon; his grandchildren, Jason Rivera, Ashley (Joshua) Purple, Dalton Haynes, Megan Haynes, Karlene (Joshua Roberts) Rivera, Michael (Melissa Brink) Moon, Adam Rivera, Kathryn (Austin Woodruff) Donnelly, and Jacob Donnelly; his great-grandchildren, Olivia Purple, Beau and Barrett Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Bernard will be Saturday, February 12th from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm with the service to follow at New Comer Cremations and Funerals.

Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Minoa later in the spring.
