Benjamin Drew Foster

June 23, 2006 — June 1, 2022

Benjamin Drew Foster, 15, passed away unexpectedly in an automobile accident on June 1, 2022. Ben was born in Syracuse, NY on June 23, 2006. He spent most of his life in Central Square, NY. He was a funny, kind and caring young man. He touched the hearts of everyone he met, always extending his unforgettable smile.

Ben enjoyed playing football and baseball. He would tell everyone this was his passion. He played on Bishop Grimes and Central Square teams. He was happiest playing for his travel baseball team: MAD Sports. Ben was the starting catcher and a team leader. All of his team activities and interactions with dedicated coaches shaped him into the well-rounded young man he was.

Ben was an avid snowboarder. Labrador Mountain was his home in the winter months. He was asked to be an instructor this last season. His enthusiasm took him to Killington and any mountain he could talk his Moms into chauffeuring him to.
Ben also enjoyed summer sports as well. He loved being on his four wheeler and jet ski. He could always be found enjoying these activities with his best buddies, Sam, RJ, Dan and Nick.

He was an active member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Cicero.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth; grandparents, Phil and Eleanor Drew and Jim Foster and great-grandmother, Sophie Ceckanowicz.

Ben will be greatly missed by his mothers, Tracy Foster and Susan Drew; grandmother, Mary Foster; great-grandmother, Frances Foster; uncle, Jimmy (Leonora) Foster; aunts, Jennifer (Brett) Helmer, Tricia Foster, Pam Witek and Nadine Denman. He will be missed by his cousins, Reigan Foster, Brett and Maddie Helmer, Nate and Noah Marrero; his "Massachusetts family", Cathy and Mike "Smitty" Smith, Caitlin (John, John Jr. and Brendan) Dudley and Chris (Kristi, Kaylee) Smith. Ben had an endless number of beloved friends.

Ben's last unselfish act was to be able to help many others by donating tissue through Connect Life Tissue Donation.
