Barbara V. Townsend, 83 of Central Square, died Saturday at James Square.
She was born on November 22, 1927 a daughter of Edward and Dorothy Rogers Hunt. On November 29, 1947 she was married to Robert Townsend, Sr. She was last employed as a waitress at All American Kitchen. She was also employed at Child's Restaurant and Fromer's Restaurant. She loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, three sons, Robert (Teri Robbins), Jr., Richard (Bonnie), Edward (Donna), two daughters, Dorothy (Gary Middleton) Cooper, Deborah (Keith) Patterson, a sister, Lillian Wenborne, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 7 pm from New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm, at the funeral home.
