Barbara J. (Straight) Sabatino, ascended to Heaven in the arms of her Lord and Savior on September 8th, 2022. Born and raised in Elmira, NY. She graduated from Southside High School in 1975 and Elmira Business Institute in 1976, then moving to Syracuse in 1984.
She spent 43 years in the Advertising Industry. She retired from L.P.M. Marketing in 2020, after 27 years. She was a volunteer Master Gardener and former CommuniTree Steward of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County.
Surviving her; husband and best friend, Danny Sabatino; children, Janine (Chris) Wiggins and Danny Sabatino Jr.; sister's Linda J. Abbas, Margaret S. (Alton) Allen and Mary L. (Gerald) Sheehen; sister-in-laws, Rosemary (Conor) Hanley, Michelle (Jerome) Randall and Judith (Peter) Richter; special cousin and thrifting partner, Jeannie Garlock; 3 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, The Garden Girls, Jacquie Orzelle, Jen Pauley and Karen Bishop and her 4 legged companion, Deacon Blue.
She loved her family dearly. She loved her garden and spent many happy hours there and happily shared plants with all.
Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Thursday, September 22nd, 2022 from 12pm-4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice CNY, Francis House or any local Food Bank.
"Remember me with smiles and laughter for that's how I will remember you, but please if you can only remember me with tears, don't remember me at all."
