Barbara Klipp

July 30, 1968 — February 12, 2022

Barbara Klipp (often called "Barbie" by her loved ones), age 53, passed away peacefully on February, 12th 2022 with her sister by her side. She is survived by her Mother, Heide Holstein, her sister, her brother, her aunts, nieces, nephews, extended family and her beloved pets.

Barbara was born on July 30th, 1968. This made her zodiac sign a Leo, and it's easy to remember her as being like a lion. She was fiercely protective of her family, especially her sister's children. In a lot of ways, they were her cubs, too.

She had the charisma to lead a pack. She would often tell stories of her life in such a way that hours would pass without the listener even knowing. Asking her how her day was, was like opening a book, or entering a theatre with Barbara ready to narrate and perform.

Barbara always had a thirst for knowledge and discovery. She would often spend her time deep diving into a number of subjects, seeking the truth. Her family finds peace in recognizing that this new journey for Barbara is one of discovery, and she now knows the truth of what comes next.

Her fierceness could also be seen in her relationship with God. She was described as being, "on fire for the Lord", and truly wanted to share as much of the Word as she could.

Barbara also had a true love for animals. The way that she was able to connect with animals, even those timid around humans, was remarkable. Her family is thankful that she was welcomed to her heavenly home by all of the animals and pets that were a part of her time on earth.

A private graveyard service will be held on Friday, February 18th, 2022 at Onondaga Valley Cemetery. In place of flowers, her family asks that you donate to the CNY Cat Coalition in her memory.
