Barbara J. Massaro, 73, of Clay, New York died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at home following a long illness.
Barbara had a strong personality and was a fighter, and also loved animals. Barbara retired from SSAC in 2001 following 20 years of service as a supervisor.
She was predeceased by her husband Dante A. Massaro, Sr. who died in 2001.
Surviving are sons, Dante, Jr. (Lori) Massaro of Huntersville, NC and Christopher (Shelly) Massaro of Clay; grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas and Anthony; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 9 AM on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse, New York. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracusce, New York.
Calling hours will be Friday, June 8, 2012 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home, 705 North Main Street.
Contributions may be made to the SPCA.
