Barbara J. Conboy, 61, of Mattydale, NY, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 after a long fight with cancer and a stroke. Barb was born on March 5, 1953 in Little Falls, NY, the daughter of Clemente and Marie DiGiambattista. Barb enjoyed Disney, puzzles, crocheting, shopping, cooking at family gatherings and spending time with her dogs. Barb went to school part-time while being a stay at home Mom and became a registered nurse. Barb married the love of her life, Patrick Conboy at the age of 18 and they were together the rest of her life. She is predeceased by her father, Clemente DiGiambattista.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Patrick; her three children, PJ (Dianna) of Centerville, OH, John (Tiffany) of Clay, NY, and Michelle of Syracuse, NY; four grandchildren; and her mother, Marie DiGiambattista.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4-7 at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held on Monday 10AM at St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale, with burial to follow.
