Barbara Shirley Gigon

Barbara Shirley Gigon, 90, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away on June 17, 2024 at Crouse Hospital surrounded by her loving children. She was born August 1, 1933, in Cohocton, NY to Lucy and Theodore Middleton and was predeceased by her 3 sisters, Gertrude, Patricia and Norma and her brother, Theodore.

She is survived by her dear sister Ann (Richard) Schubmehl of Wayland, NY. Barbara was a devoted Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother. She was the beloved Mom to 5 children and leaves behind to cherish her memory Ann Doyle, Terri (Peter) Tulowiecki, Tracy (Keith) Vinehout and Eric (Katie) Gigon and was predeceased by her 1st born son, Peter Gigon. Barbara was deeply loved by her grandchildren Major, Maybrie, Madelyn, Peter, Michael, Amy, Davielle, Brian and Amanda and great-grandchildren Natalie, Theran, Jacob and Kaylee.

She was an avid Mets baseball fan, loved Jeopardy and sweets made by her best friend of over 60 years, Mary Muncy. Barbara had a humble heart and kind spirit. To have known her is to have known the true meaning of unconditional love. We were truly blessed to have had such a Godly Mom, whose faith and dedication surrounded us with love and support.

A Celebration of Life is planned for what would have been her 91st birthday on August 1, 2024, at Northside Church, Liverpool at 11am for family and friends, gathering to follow.
