Barbara J. Benedict, 65, of Cicero, passed away Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Syracuse, she graduated from Baker Academy in Baldwinsville. She retired from M&T Bank after 27 years of service. Barb was a member and past President of the South Bay Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Onondaga County Ladies Auxiliary, LaFASNY and St. Francis Church in Bridgeport.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Martin A. Benedict Sr.; son, Martin A. (Doreen) Benedict Jr.; daughter, Deborah L (Michael) Tesoriero; grandchildren, Dana and Morgan; sisters, Sharon Martin, Judith Kendrick.
Services will be Monday at 10 AM in St. Francis Church, Bridgeport. Friends may visit with Barb's Family on Sunday from 1-4 PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St. N. Syracuse.
Contributions in Barb's name can be made to the South Bay Fire Department.
