Barbara J. Anderson, 80, of North Syracuse, passed away on Thursday at Crouse Hospital after a long illness surrounded by her family.
She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Harry and Cora Hewitt. Barbara taught at North Syracuse and Liverpool School Districts, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the former Calvary Episcopal Church in Syracuse. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel in 1998 and her brother, James Hewitt in 1979.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Bonnie (Jim) Budd, N. Syracuse, Deborah (Stan) Bogwicz, Liverpool, 3 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and sister-in-law Evelyn Anderson.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
Burial will be 11am Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
