Barbara M. Ackerson, 92, formerly of Mattydale, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 25th. She was active in the South Shore Fire Department for many years. Barbara took pride in the fact that she was a Home Health Aide for 25 years.
Barbara leaves behind her son, Howard Badgley; granddaughter, Lynn Badgley; siblings, James Ackerson, Gladys Ackerson and Jean Jarvis; many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
In accordance with Barbara's wishes, she is giving the gift of herself to Upstate Medical University Anatomical Gift Program. No services will be held. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your local fire department in her memory.
