Barbara A. Charland, 69, of North Syracuse died on Tuesday at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. Born in Syracuse, she graduated from Blodgett Vocational High School in 1955 and was a member of TOPS and Columbiettes of the Bishop Curley Council. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Barton Charland in 2004 and daughter, Sandra Lee Stone in 1989.
Survivors include her son, Paul of Cicero; two daughters, Cynthia (Tim) Jones and their children Jamie and Stephanie of Clay, Melinda (David) Hoover and their children Katie Ann (Matt) Reece and David Jr. of Oklahoma; a great grand-daughter, Jillian Marie Jones; special friends David and Diane Stone of Cicero and Kelly Clark of Cato; three sisters, Bernice Jordan, Shirley Przewlocki, Patricia Van Antwerp.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at New Comer Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, Dewitt. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse.
