August "Gus" Wise Jr., 71 of Cicero passed away Monday. He owned and operated J.W. Collision in Syracuse until he retired. He was a Marine Corps. veteran. He was a founder of the Walleye Seekers of CNY. August is Predeceased by his parents and brother.
He is survived by his caring wife of 46 years, Tommasa (Squadrito) Wise; three sons, John (Joanne), August "Sonny" (Lynn) and Bernard "Bernie" (Annette) Wise; three daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" (John) Cowher, Sally (Charles) Struble and Santina "Tina" Stebbins; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, 10 AM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will follow at the North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 4-7PM at the funeral home.
