In loving memory, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of August Simonetta, 80 on Friday, August 16th.
Augie was a 1954 graduate of Eastwood High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Throughout his life as a professional musician, he had the pleasure of entertaining audiences throughout Central New York, most notably at LeMoyne Manor. Augie was an avid sports fan and in his younger days played on many area baseball teams. He enjoyed family life, his beloved pets and competing in trivia.
Survivors include his sisters, Marie Bartlett and Fay (Desadiro) Sidello; brothers, Nicholas (Patricia) and Joseph (Joan) Simonetta; brother-in-law, Frank DeSantis and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Agostino and Maria Anunciata (Adornato) Simonetta; sisters, Rosemary DeSantis and Elizabeth Wall; brother, Dominick Simonetta.

A mass will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 2:30 P.M., at Holy Cross Church, 4112 E. Genesee Street, Syracuse, N.Y. 13214.
A time of fellowship to follow in the parish center.
