August "Gus" Schairer, 68, of Liverpool, passed away suddenly on Monday. Gus was born in Canton, NY. He retired from R.W. Zoller & Assoc. He was working for Onondaga Coach and First Transit as a driver. Gus volunteered with the Moyer's Corners Volunteer Fire Dept and was a Life member of the Stillwater Club. He is predeceased by his father, John.
Gus is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley; two sons, Garrett (Julie) and Matthew (Ashley) Schairer; mother, Ruth; and four granddaughters.
Services will be Thursday, 7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7PM, at the funeral home, before services. Burial will be private.
Contributions can be made to the Moyer's Corners Vol. Fire Dept.
