August Cornell, 70, of Syracuse, passed away on August 16th. Born in Syracuse to the late Kelly (Ilaqua) and Nicolas Cornell. He worked at University College for 10 years and then went on to own jewelry stores in the Syracuse area. He had a fondeness for automobiles and participated in car shows. August was a member of a writers group, The Central New York Creative Writers Cafe.
He was predeceased by his parents Kelly (Ilaqua) and Nicolas Cornell and many relatives on the North side of Syracuse.
August is survived by his partner of 35 years, Jo Buffalo.
He will be missed by many friends in the Syracuse area.
