Arthur E. Madison passed away on August 25th, 2020 at age 78.
He is predeceased by his wife, Rosalind; sister, Marilyn Bouchard; brother, Tom Madison; and brother-in-law, Wayne Fisher.
Art is survived by his wife, Gloria; sons, Arthur, William and Michael Madison; stepchildren, Susan (Don) Snedden, Kathleen Scalzo, and Gerald Rockwood; grandchildren, Maximus and Alexander Madison; ten step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; sister, Joy Fisher; two sisters-in-law, Esther Adelson and Mim Madison; brother-in-law, Arnold Bouchard; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Art was born on July 1, 1942, one of four children and raised in Marcellus, N.Y.
He was a born mechanic, starting with repairing and building bicycles at an early age. He then went on to building and refurbishing classic cars. He actually built 27, showing many of them at the Syracuse Nationals and winning many trophies. He was President of the Empire Rodmen Club for many years.
Art spent 30 years working at New Process Gear and retiring in 1999.
Art was also a proud Mason.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Sept. 2nd from 5pm to 8pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main St., N. Syracuse, where a service will be held at 8pm.
Private interment on Thursday at Pine Plains Cemetery.
