Arthur L. Burns, 87, of North Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday with family by his side. He was born on February 12, 1926 in Scotia, NY son of George and Mary Burns. He served in the US Army, was a member of the North Syracuse Baptist Church for 37 years, taught Sunday School and was involved in various ministries at the Church. He was employed by GE and later Martin Marietta for 37 years as an electrical engineer.
Surviving are his wife, Maria, of 56 years, 2 sons, Jim (Terri) of Clay, Dale (Vickey) of Liverpool, 5 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Nicole, Megan, Ian & Evan, 4 great grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan, Abby & Micah.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10-12pm at the North Syracuse Baptist Church, 420 S. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow. Burial will take place at North Syracuse Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the North Syracuse Baptist Church.
