Arthur H. Berg, Jr., 92, long time resident of Tully, NY passed away in his sleep on April 19,2022 after a long battle with the complications of diabetes. He was residing at Loretto Health & Rehabilitation in Syracuse, NY at the time of passing.
Arthur was born in Rochester, NY in 1930 to Arthur H. Berg, Sr. and the former Alberta Kennedy. He served in the US Navy as an electrician on the battleship USS Mississippi. Early in his career he worked for IBM in Endicott, NY and later was instrumental in bringing the then-new Community General Hospital into the computer age with the cutting-edge technology a key-punch system.
Later in life, he drove a school bus for the Lafayette School system, followed by ten years as a Centro Bus driver, a job he loved. He retired from Centro in 1997.
Arthur was an avid reader and maintained a passionate interest in current events and politics, in which he held strong opinions.
He is survived by the Love of his life, the former Barbara Seeley whom he wed in 1955.
He is also survived by Daughter, Nancy (Robert) Toleno, Sons Lawrence (Mary Lee) Berg and Thomas Berg; Granddaughter, Cassandra Berg; Step Grandchildren, Harry Schrefer and Kelly Borst; Nieces, Cheryl (Barton) Fisher, Jan (Jeff) Allton, Kathy (Chris) Miller, Jennifer (Gary) Cleghorn, Kim Ward; Nephews, John Green, Steven Seeley, William Berg.
