Arlene T. Poje

Arlene T. Poje, 93, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 25, 2021. Arlene was born in Glendale, New York on March 1, 1928 to Peter and Caroline Tauckus. Arlene retired from On Bank, Syracuse. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling all over the world, reading, word search puzzles, cooking, but most of all she loved to shop. Arlene will always be remembered as a beautiful person that had a heart of gold. She was of the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by father, Peter J. Tauckus and mother Caroline (Kropsenhauser) Tauckus, her loving husband, Anton Poje; son, Christopher P. Poje; and brother, Peter Tauckus ll.

She is survived by her three daughters, Joanne (Richard) Tomasulo, Patricia (Kelly) A. Skinner, Kathleen (Floyd) Denslow; six grandchildren, Alicia Ann White, Larissa M. Burke, Brittany A. Denslow, Kayli M. Skinner, Brian J. Denslow, Trevor A. Denslow; five great grandchildren, Bryce A. McBride, Margot R. White, Rowen O. White, Sophie G. Burke and Colton C Maccombie.

Services will be held at St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale, on October 1, 2021 at 10:30 AM, with interment to follow on Tuesday October 5, 2021 at Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Arlene's memory to the American Lung Association, at www.action.lung.org.
