Arby J. Combs, 89, of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Marine Corps. He retired from Burns Bros. with over 25 years of service. Arby was a member of the American Legion Valley Post 1468 and the VFW Post 348. He was predeceased by a daughter, Audrey C. Slama.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley; a daughter, Linda (Fritz Moran) Newman; a son, Edward (Sue) Newman; son in law, Douglas Slama; three grandchildren, Jason, Christopher and Amy; three great grandchildren, Caden, Cross and Cowan; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
