April "Peggy" LaCross

April M. “Peggy” LaCross, 76, of Cicero, NY, was peacefully reunited with her husband, Gary on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. She was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Helen Doherty and William Lambert. Peggy graduated from Corcoran High School in 1966. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Danzer’s Restaurant and later retired from Property Alliance. 

She was an avid SU Basketball fan. Peggy enjoyed Sunday breakfasts with her Denny’s crew and vacationing with her husband in Hawaii and Florida. Peggy loved her beloved dog, Lilly and her dog companion of 19 years, Romeo who passed in 2015.

Peggy was a social butterfly and will be missed by many. She was affectionately known as the "Muffin Lady" at Loretto. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Gary; her sister, Corinne Gregory and brothers-in-law, Larry LaCross and Bill LaCross. 

Peggy is survived by two daughters, Christine Monroe and Karen (Travis Charland) LaCross; grandchildren, Kristina (Chris) Golembieski, Tyler Monroe, Corrine Charland, Nova (Madison Ortman) Charland, Bailee Jacobs and Travis Charland, Jr.; great-grandson, Joseph and one great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Kim Smith-Annese, Billie LaCross Davis, Hank (Sandi) Lambert, Ronnie (Ron) Lambert Lawrence; sister-in-law, Carol (Bill) Upfold; brother-in-law, Howard (Carol) LaCross; and many nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11am in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Dewitt. 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Helping Hounds.
