Anthony Vadala

Anthony "Tony" Vadala, 79, of Mattydale, NY, passed away on April 20th, 2023. Anthony was born on June 1st, 1943 to Frank and Natalie Vadala in Syracuse, NY. Anthony enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1961. After his 4 years in the service he came home to marry the love of his life.

Anthony worked for many years at Nine Mile in Oswego NY, until moving to Las Vegas, NV and becoming a bus driver for the Las Vegas Transit Authority where he received many awards for his many years of safe driving.

Anthony retired in 2005 after moving back to Mattydale, to help care for his father and mother-in-law. Anthony enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family, baking cookies with his granddaughter, and he was a life long Yankees fan. In fact, he passed away only after he knew the Yankees had won the game that night.

Anthony was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Natalie and his brother, Frank Vadala II.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine (Cimilluca) Vadala; sister, Kathleen Vadala; sons, Anthony (Toni) Vadala II and John Vadala; daughter, Nicole (Chris) Wright; grandchildren, Alex Garcia, Britnae (Ethan) Brown, Rosaria (Tim/Bill) Talavera, Anthony Vadala III, Christopher (Jinx) Vadala, Elaina (Bee) Vadala and Michael Wright; great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Evelyn Brown, Tyler, Kyliah and Xander Garcia; and several nieces and nephews and close family friends.

Friends may call on Monday, April 24th from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals in North Syracuse. A church service is going to be held the following morning at 11am at Malden Road United Church, 108 Malden Rd, Mattydale NY, 13211.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help pay for the medical bills.
