Anthony J. "Tini" Bevilacqua, Sr., 92, of Clay, passed away suddenly on Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He served in the Army-Air Corps during WW II, he was awarded the WW II Victory Medal and was last employed at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome. He enjoyed reading, word puzzles and playing the organ. Anthony was predeceased by his sister, Angeline Bevilacqua in 1987 and adopted son, Robert Bevilacqua.
Surviving are his wife Marilyn, of 37 years, 4 sons: Gary (Becky), Anthony (Angel), Michael, Tony Bevilacqua step-son, Cyril Parsons, daughter, Joanne (James) Pfeifer, step- daughter, Debora Peryea, 17 grandchildren: Krystina, Daniel, Eric, Nicholas, Eric, Scott, Kiera, Kylie, Alexander, Julian, Ryan, Joseph, Nicholas, Michael, Eileen, Robert & Laura and 7 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 10 am at St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale.
Burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery.
