Anthony J. Filicia

January 16, 1933 — March 31, 2017

Anthony J. Filicia, 84, of Lakeland, passed away on Friday surrounded by his loved ones. Anthony was born in Syracuse. He retired from Hancock Airbase after 25 years of service. Anthony loved going for rides in his cars and vacationing in the Pocono Mountains.

Anthony was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Frances Filicia; his first wife, Irene (Luongo) Filicia; two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; four children, Rhonda Rose (Kim) Filicia, David (Debbie) Filicia, Linda (Eddie) Pidkaminy and Tony (Rhonda) Filicia; three step-children, Joanne (Gene) Topolski, David (Tina) O'Donnell and Vicki (Chad) Ling; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Stroup and Vicki Commisso and many nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 9:30AM at Our Lady of Peace Church, Lakeland, NY with entombment to follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Friends may call on the family on Tuesday from 3-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace Church, 203 Halcomb Street, Syracuse, NY 13209.
