Annie T. McVicar, 69, of North Syracuse, New York passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Francis House in Syracuse, New York.
She was born November 11, 1942 in Glasgow, Scotland. On February 20, 1959 she married James McVicar. Annie and Jim came to the U.S. in 1965 with three children. She worked as a Nanny for several families in the Syracuse area, retiring in 2009. Annie was a member of the North Syracuse VFW #7290 Auxiliary. Annie and Jim enjoyed travelling together.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Jim who died on December 29, 2011.
Surviving are two sons, Stuart and Jimmy; three daughters, Jeannie Shaw, Karen Tobin and Elaine (Chris Puckey) McVicar ; a brother, Andrew Renaud of Hong Kong; sisters, Christina McAulay and Sandra Raulston both of Glasgow, Scotland; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Ann wished for people to celebrate her life, not mourn or be saddened by her passing. In lieu of a service or calling hours, her family requests friends to join her family Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 5-8 PM for a memorial reception at the North Syracuse VFW, 105 Maxwell Ave.
