Annamma Jacob Panayil, 82, of Liverpool NY, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 19, 2020.
Annamma was born in Trichur, India on March 28, 1938. She was an orphan taken in by her adoptive mother, Rachel Kuttikatil, and her uncle, Peter Kuttikatil. Her mother found her after hearing from God that there was an orphan in need of a mother. She saw Annamma and fell in love. She was raised to know Jesus as her Savior and loved Him with all of her heart. Telling the story of how she was rescued was a favorite for Anna.
Annamma immigrated to the USA with her husband Jacob in 1999. She was eager to become an American Citizen and achieved her dream on August 17, 2004. This was one of her proudest accomplishments. She retired from the Everson Museum in Syracuse, NY in 2010.
Annamma was a very loving woman, quick to give her testimony of how Jesus changed her life. She was full of joy and acted as a surrogate mother to one and all. Her love for Jesus shone through each word she spoke. She loved her family very much and did everything she could to make sure they knew that.
Annamma is predeceased by her mother and uncle.
Annamma leaves behind her loving husband of 55 years, Jacob T. Panayil, children: Sheela Panicker, Jiji Panayil, Mini Johnson, Joju Panayil, Sherly Johnson and Sini Hommel. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren. All will miss her warm hugs and loving acceptance.
