Ann W. Johnson, 77, North Syracuse, passed Friday after a short illness. She is a graduate of Oswego State, in 1957 where she was president of Arethusa Eta Sorority. She retired from Liverpool Schools after 28 years as a beloved elementary teacher. Ann was a member of several gardening clubs and the Red Hat Society. She received the Volunteer of the year award for her work with Literacy Volunteers of CNY in 1997.

Ann is survived by her husband of 26 years, Bruce A. Johnson; three children, Vicky (Jim) McIntyre; Bill Mullen; Brad Mullen; two step-children, Linda Johnson and Lisa (Buddy) Randall; six grandchildren, Trevor, Jessica, Stacey, Kyle, Megan and Zach; three great grandchildren, McKenzie, Zoey and Maxine; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday from 3-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will follow at 7PM.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Ann's name to AURORA OF CNY, Inc. 518 James St., Suite 100, Syracuse, NY 13203-2282.
