Ann M. Smithson, 60, of North Syracuse, passed away Monday. Born in Massena, she was the daughter of Ida and Aloney Foley. Ann worked for Higbee Rubber Co., Pass & Seymour and Sunnyside Nursing Home.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Herbert A. Smithson; a son, Herbert (Christine) Smithson II; twin daughters, Beth Ann (Sam) Smithson and Bobbie Jo (Tim) Smithson-Roder; grandchildren, Herbert Smithson III, Francisco Ruiz, Miguel Ruiz, Sammy Ruiz; T.J. Roder, Anna Jolie Roder and "one on the way"; a brother, Joe Foley; sisters, Joyce Naples, Shirley McCarthy, June Kieffer and Bina Armstrong; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, 7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will be Tuesday, 2PM at Assumption Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 4-7PM at the funeral home, before services.
