Angelina Cupoli
October 8, 2014
Angelina Cupoli, 94, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home with family at her side. She was born in Pittsburg, PA in 1920. Her family moved to Syracuse in 1928. Like most Europeans they were a poor family, but possessed hope for a new life in a new country and a strong work ethic. She was educated to 8th grade and then went to what was called "Finishing School".
She met Alfredo Cupoli in the late 30's and they were married on Labor Day in 1941. She devoted her life to raising her three kids and helping to take care of anyone in need, family or not. Jimmy, Micki and Marylou will all tell you they all had a wonderful childhood and always had what they needed. They all know now, as adults, now that have all raised their own families that Angie and Freddy did not have much, but always provided for their needs. Wonderful Holidays, clean and comfortable home, and lots of love and the importance of that love. They will tell you, that there could not have been a better mom or role model anywhere. She's probably up there right now fixing eggplant parm, meatballs, sauce and some of her amazing cookie and pies. She was definitely the Queen of her family.
Angelina is survived by her son, James (Judy) Cupoli; two daughters, Micki Calabria and Marylou (Steven) Carbone; she is also survived by nine grandchildren, James Cupoli Jr., William Cupoli, Angela Costello, Andrea Persin, Joseph Calabria II, Kristine Bryan and David Calabria, Steven Carbone II, and Michael Carbone; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were private.
The family would like to thank the staff at Self Direct for their care and dedication.
