She was the fourth child in a family of fifteen siblings. They are listed here in birth order. Michael Calogero deceased, Theresa Calogero Tutella deceased, Grace Calogero Masterpol deceased, Dominic Calogero deceased, Anthony Calogero, Vincent Calogero deceased, Rose Calogero Morris, Salvatore Calogero deceased, Fanny Calogero Apps, Joy Calogero Constantine, Congetta Calogero Ostuni, Nancy Calogero Hart, Frances Calogero Burton, Gerald Calogero deceased. She also had loving connections with in-laws on both sides of her family and many nieces, nephews, and their children.
Angie was born in Syracuse, New York, daughter of Antonio Calogero and Philomena Matarazzo Calogero. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church.

She shared many stories about her growing up years that highlighted her role in the family as a helper to her parents, and caretaker for her younger siblings. Although the demands were great, the stories were conveyed with her typical humor, and reflected not only a deep affection for each member of this unique and close clan, but also a sense of pride for a job well done for those she loved.

In school she did well, enjoyed her studies and formed a lasting friendship with her classmate Carmella Cutri Vercillo. She left school early in order to help at home, and was later employed as an office worker at Remington Rand.

She had a 69-year marriage, and while raising three children kept an impeccable house and garden. Her family wore freshly ironed outfits each day. She cooked wonderful meals. She enjoyed singing as she worked around the house, and had a lovely voice. Angie also weathered hardships during this time, including the death of a first-born child shortly after birth.

She was an avid card player, and up to a few weeks before her death was winning at rounds of gin rummy, and able to quickly calculate scores in her head. She is known for her bingo playing history that includes some impressive winnings.

Along the way she became a brownie troop leader, and a poodle breeder. She bravely learned to drive in order to be able to take her children on outings and they had some hilarious times in her small Dutch made DAF 600.

In 1967 she went to her husband Daniel's beauty salon to help out in a pinch, and eventually ended up as a licensed hairdresser working there with him until they both retired 38 years later.

When her grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along she was overjoyed, and loved them dearly.

In later years as her body began to fail, her kind spirit and mischievous wit began to shine through even more. Her love of family grew to include a wider circle. Her smile and the twinkle in her eye won her many fans as she charmed health care workers, bingo buddies, and a new generation of children.
Angie appreciated all that was done for her during the years she was cared for at home, and then in the last few months at the Cunningham Nursing Home. Near the end she was also helped by hospice services. She gave and received love until the very end of her life, and left this world gently.
