Andrew Joseph Reed, 35, of Mattydale, passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2024.
Andrew was born in Syracuse, NY on January 30, 1989 to Gregory S. Reed and Lisa M. Reno.
A 2007 Cicero North Syracuse High School Graduate, furthered his education at OCC and received an associates degree in Criminal Justice. He was an Eagle Scout Award recipient, the highest honor a Boy Scout of America can receive. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Andrew worked in public security for many years. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Margaret’s Church, was dedicated to his family, enjoyed all the gatherings and holidays, an avid Cowboys fan, loved music, spending time in nature, and always was awaiting life’s next adventure.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Reed, maternal grandmother, Shirley Reno.
He is survived by his mother, Lisa Reno-Fraser; stepfather Joseph Fraser; grandfather Al Reno; grandmother, Mary Joan Coughlin; sisters, Amanda Reed, Andreana (Jeffrey) Guyette, Roxanne Reed, and Tonya Fraser; brother, Justin Fraser; uncle, Doug (Doree) Reno; aunt, Johanna (Derrick) Reed-Russell; two nephews, one niece, several cousins, a large extended step family, as well as many friends who cared about him deeply.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse. A celebration of life will follow visitation at a TBD location.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale, NY. Internment will take place at a later date.
