"Molly" Mary J. Carney, 84, of Syracuse, passed away Monday. Molly was born in Ireland and came to America at an early age. She was a waitress most of her life, working in Las Vegas, California, Florida and New York. She worked at the Towne Casino in Buffalo and the 3 Rivers Inn. She also worked at many of the country clubs in the Syracuse area. Molly's sense of humor and kindness will be missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband, James in 1987.
She is survived by two sons, James R. (June) Craine of Albany, Thomas J. (Sherry) Carney of Grand Island; two daughters, Deborah A.(Vito Jr.) Recuparo of North Syracuse, Susan M. Carney of Baldwinsville, NY; five grand children, Rhonda, Vito III, Casey, Kelliann, and Ryan; seven great grand- children, Taylor, Jordan, Dominique, Tori, Bella, Sophia and Dylan.
Services will be on Sunday at 4 PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home. Calling Hours will be Sunday from 2-4 PM at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Humane Assoc. of CNY.
