Amos O. Woodhouse, 88, of Liverpool died Monday at The Crossings in Minoa. A native of Oneida he was the son of the late, Amos F. and Mary E. Mullen Woodhouse. He retired from Oneida Limited in 1985 following 40 years of service as a foreman in the hollowware department. He was a US Army Air Corp veteran serving in WWII. He and his wife, Betty enjoyed winters in Ocala, Fl. for 22 years. Amos was a member of the Oneida Elks BPOE #767, The American Legion, Post 230, Oneida Community Golf Course and Kanon Valley. Mr. Woodhouse enjoyed cooking, gardening and camping at Nick's Lake.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, the former Elizabeth Laurin; twin sons, Larry (Wendy) of Manlius and Michael (Bonnie) Woodhouse of Clay; daughters, Joanne Mobriant of Anchorage, AK and Mary Woodhouse of E. Syracuse; sister, Josephine Gardner of Ocala, Fl; ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 AM on Friday at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research (JDRF), 100 Metropolitan Park Dr., Liverpool, NY 13088.
