Amie Lynn Shaffer

Amie Lynn Shaffer, 39, of North Syracuse, received her wings on Sunday with family at her side. Born in Syracuse, she graduated from PV Moore High School in 1989. She attended Munson William Proctor Art Institution. Amie actively supported the Susan G. Komen; Race for the Cure, American Cancer Society's; Making Strides also Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, Inc. In 2007, Amie received the Vicky Swanson Fighting Spirit Award from Coaches vs. Cancer.
Amie had a long career in sales and retail management culminating with various prestigious awards, including the Distinguished Sales & Marketing Award during her tenure at CXtec. She is predeceased by her father, Richard Ridgeway.
She is survived by her husband, Eric; daughters, Sydnie Sullivan and Karley Shaffer; son, Alexander Shaffer; mother, Betty and Sam Ridgeway/Reakes; step-mother, Sandra Ridgeway; sister, Carrie (Mike) Dashnaw; brother, Rick (Dee Xavier) Ridgeway; and several nieces and nephews. Amie was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, wife, friend and survivor. Amie's family sends a special "Thank You" to Dr. Tony Scalzo and the entire team at Hemotology/Oncology.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 10AM – 1PM at Believers' Chapel, 7912 Thompson Rd., Cicero, NY 13039. Services will follow on Saturday, 2PM at Believers' Chapel.
