Alvin J. Mcfadden

Alvin J. McFadden "Slow Walk", 87, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday November 4, 2023, at Francis House surrounded by loving family. Alvin was born in Andrews, SC on September 9, 1937 son of the late Allen and Sadie McFadden. Alvin retired from Syracuse University after 50 years in the Maintenance Dept. He was a member of the Syracuse Elks Lodge #1104. He also enjoyed dancing, music, parades and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley McFadden, children, Jenice McFadden, Kenneth (Alicia) McFadden, Caroline McFadden-Sherman, Michael McFadden, Annette McFadden, Carlton (Maria) McFadden, grandchildren, Ramone, Latoya, Shamori, Ali, Kenny, Jr, Precious, Rondell, Carlton, Jr, Jiya, Tyrisha, Markese, Jasmon, his brother, Moses McFadden, along with a host of great grandchildren.

The wake and services held on Friday from 11-1pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse, with services at 1:00pm.
